State Sustainability Strategy
Sustainable Development means:
•Profitability (technical, financial, economic performance);
•Risk management;
•Mitigation of environmental and social impacts;
•Creation of other forms of capital - social capital, human capital, natural capital; and •Ensuring some sort of equitable distribution of proceeds occurs between public and private sectors and at local and national levels •In particular the emphasis has moved away from the more narrow one of environmental factors to one of ‘sustainable communities’ or ‘sustainable regions’.
